About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing healthcare technology team. You'll be working on a sophisticated multi-tenant e-commerce platform that serves telehealth services across the Philippines, handling everything from patient consultations to prescription fulfillment and delivery logistics.

- Frontend: React.js, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, Express/Fastify
- Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL)
- Infrastructure: Supabase ecosystem
- Integrations: Xendit (payments), J&T/NinjaVan/Lalamove (logistics), Typeform (patient intake)
Key Responsibilities
Database & Architecture
- Design and optimize Supabase/PostgreSQL schemas for multi-tenant healthcare applications (GoRocky, GoSlim, etc.)
- Implement Row Level Security (RLS) and role-based access control (RBAC) for sensitive patient and partner data
- Build scalable database structures supporting complex order workflows, medical records, and inventory management
- Optimize query performance for high-volume transactional data
Secure Data & Compliance
- Enforce data encryption, audit logs, and comprehensive access controls aligned with PH Data Privacy Act and international healthcare standards (HIPAA/GDPR best practices)
- Implement secure handling of medical information, prescription data, and payment details
- Build robust error handling, logging, and monitoring systems for compliance auditing
- Ensure data integrity across complex multi-step healthcare workflows
API Development & Integrations
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for payments (Xendit), logistics providers (J&T, NinjaVan, Lalamove), ID verification systems, and analytics platforms
- Create event-driven workflows (e.g., payment confirmed → pharmacy assignment → courier notification → delivery tracking)
- Build webhook handlers for real-time payment updates and delivery status changes
- Design APIs supporting mobile apps, partner integrations, and internal admin tools
E-Commerce & Healthcare Logic
- Build and maintain custom checkout flows, subscription models, and intelligent inventory control systems
- Manage complex order lifecycle: pending → medical review → pharmacy assignment → processing → shipping → delivery/RTS
- Implement dynamic pricing, discount systems, and promotional campaigns
- Develop prescription management, doctor assignment, and patient consultation scheduling systems
- Create automated stock management with partner pharmacy integration
Frontend Development
- Build responsive React applications for patient portals, admin dashboards, and partner interfaces
- Implement real-time order tracking, medical form submissions, and secure patient communications
- Create intuitive UIs for complex healthcare workflows and multi-step processes
- Optimize for mobile-first experience across the Philippines' diverse connectivity landscape
Performance & Scalability
- Optimize application performance for high-volume transactions and concurrent users
- Implement caching strategies, database indexing, and query optimization
- Build monitoring and alerting systems for system health and business metrics
- Design for horizontal scaling and high availability
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience with Node.js and React
- 2+ years hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database design
- 1+ years working with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms
- Strong understanding of Row Level Security (RLS), database triggers, and stored procedures
- Experience with payment gateway integrations (Xendit, Stripe, or similar)
- Proficiency in TypeScript, REST APIs, and webhook implementations
- Experience with real-time features (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)
Healthcare/E-Commerce Experience
- Understanding of e-commerce order management and inventory systems
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and secure coding practices
- Experience with third-party logistics and delivery service integrations
General Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries
- Familiarity with Philippine business practices and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of mobile development (React Native) or progressive web apps
- Experience with analytics platforms and business intelligence tools
- Background in pharmacy operations or medical workflow systems
- Experience with Docker, AWS, or other cloud platforms
- Understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
