GoRocky is building Southeast Asia’s leading chronic care platform. We are seeking a senior lawyer to lead our legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs functions at the intersection of health, technology, and government.
This role will serve as the company’s in-house counsel, compliance head, and primary liaison with regulators and law firms — handling both strategic corporate work (fundraising, governance, regulatory advocacy) and day-to-day operational issues (FDA/DOH inspections, labor disputes, data privacy).
This is a senior leadership role with a clear growth path toward a C-level position (Chief Legal Officer / Chief Compliance Officer) as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
Government & Regulatory Affairs
- Build and manage relationships with FDA, DOH, PRC, SEC, NPC, and related agencies.
- Represent GoRocky in hearings, consultations, and industry associations.
- Secure and maintain regulatory approvals, licenses, and permits.
- Shape regulatory frameworks around digital health and chronic care.
Legal Counsel & External Liaison
- Act as in-house counsel, advising management and Board on legal and corporate governance matters.
- Draft and review key contracts, shareholder agreements, and investor documents.
- Support corporate actions (fundraising, SSA/SHA, ESOP, share buybacks, and corporate approvals).
- Serve as the main liaison with external law firms, coordinating advice & controlling costs.
Internal Legal Handling
- Respond to FDA/DOH notices and manage inspections.
- Handle labor issues, including notice-to-explains and disputes.
- Manage contract enforcement, supplier/customer disputes, and data privacy incidents.
- Provide business-oriented legal advice to leadership and department heads.
Compliance Leadership
- Lead the compliance department and strengthen SOPs across:
- Prescription issuance and audit trail
- Compounding, device, and retail compliance
- Advertising/marketing claims
- Pharmacovigilance systems
- Data privacy & security protocols (serving as NPC Data Privacy Officer)
- Conduct internal audits and compliance training.
What We’re Looking For
- Philippine Bar-admitted lawyer (mandatory).
- Strong regulatory network (FDA, DOH, SEC, PRC, NPC).
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, tech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven ability to balance strategic corporate work with operational legal/compliance issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work with founders, VCs, and regulators in fast-changing environments.
- Experience managing external law firms and/or leading compliance/legal teams a plus.
Reporting Line
- Works closely with the Management team, Medical Operations team, and People & Culture team.
- Advises the Board on legal and compliance matters.
