MANILA (Sept. 14, 2025) — Telehealth platform GoRocky partnered with Unprude as a sponsor of “Becoming: The Philippine Sexual Wellness Summit 2025,” a full-day event that gathered more than 1,000 parents, educators, medical professionals and advocates at Podium Hall in Ortigas.
The event, led by clinical sexologist Dr. Rica Cruz, focused on helping Filipinos speak about sex and intimacy with more confidence, clarity and empathy. This year’s theme centered on “Becoming” — a follow-up to last year’s “Unbecoming” summit that focused on unlearning shame and stigma around sexual wellness.
GoRocky Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mark McKelvie joined the panel on men’s sexual health, advocating for safer, more accessible care options for men across the country. Other notable attendees included Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Kindred founder Jess De Mesa and content creator Macoy “Macoy Dubs” Averilla, who served as a panel moderator.
“Unprude and the companies that participated make significant progress in driving forward sexual health and education for all ages in the Philippines,” GoRocky founder and CEO Kiyanusch Braun said. “All this so we can have safe, amicable and respectful ways of dealing with sexual health.”
The summit included workshops on body awareness, boundaries, sexual shame and healthy communication. Programs such as “Becoming Respectful” and “Becoming Authentic” guided participants through personal reflection and relationship dynamics, issues that often go unaddressed in traditional sex education.
Dedicated spaces for teens and children were also featured. The Teens Zone discussed topics like consent, sexual identity and adolescent pregnancy. The Kids Zone, led by The Raya School, used stories and games to teach children about body safety, boundaries and how to express discomfort.
Organizers said early exposure to sex-positive, age-appropriate information can reduce risk of abuse, help prevent unplanned pregnancies and encourage open dialogue between children and parents.
GoRocky’s involvement in the event reflects its mission to normalize conversations around men’s health, including conditions such as erectile dysfunction and hair loss. The company said improving access to science-backed treatment is only part of the work, tackling cultural shame and silence is equally important.
“We dared to unbecome,” Cruz said during the event’s opening. “This year, we are becoming — curious, confident, compassionate and committed.”
